Scilly runs on the seasons. Lots of cafés, boat trips and attractions open from around Easter to October, and some close or keep short hours in winter. Your plan only suggests places we expect to be open, but always check before you go.

Isles of Scilly planner FAQs

Everything you need to know about planning your Isles of Scilly trip with Explore Scilly. Island life runs on the tide and the weather, so always check before you set off.

Is the Isles of Scilly planner free?

Yes. The planner is free to use. We ask for your first name, which goes on your itinerary, and your email address, which unlocks it so only you can open it. There is no account or password to set up.

What does my itinerary include?

Each day is split into morning, lunch, afternoon and evening, with places to eat, beaches, walks, boat trips and attractions chosen from what you told us you love. You also get a wet weather idea for each day, island hopping on the right days, and events on during your stay where we know about them.

Does it tell me what to pack?

Yes. Every itinerary ends with a packing list made from your dates and your plans: clothes for the season, swimwear and water shoes if you are heading for the beaches, binoculars for wildlife trips, a torch for evenings on the off islands, things for the children or the dog, and the right bags for your flight or the ferry. Once your stay is within a fortnight it uses the forecast for St Mary's, and you can tick things off as you pack.

Can I plan just one day, or a day trip?

Yes. Choose just today, just tomorrow, any single day of your holiday, or your whole stay of up to three weeks. Here for the day? Pick Not listed, or here for the day, then Day trip to St Mary's.

Does it fit around my ferry or flight?

Yes. Pick your Scillonian III sailing, Skybus flight or helicopter for the day you arrive and the day you leave, and your first and last days are planned around them. Not booked yet? How do I open my itinerary again?

Your itinerary ID is at the top of your plan and on the PDF. Open it here with that ID and your email address. Plans you have opened on this device also show at the top of this page, ready to open with one tap.

Will it work with no signal on the islands?

Signal comes and goes on the off islands, so download your itinerary as a PDF, add the days to your calendar, or save Explore Scilly to your phone for offline use before you go. Each morning, Scilly Live has the boats, flights, fog, weather and tides.

Can I make a plan for someone else?

Yes. Choose Someone else at the start and the questions change to suit. Their name goes on the itinerary, and you can add their email address so they can open it too, or just send them the PDF.

How long do you keep my itinerary?

We keep your itinerary, with your email address, for 90 days, then it is deleted. We never share your details. Download the PDF if you would like to keep it for longer.
