Getting about, answered
How do I get to the Isles of Scilly?
By the Scillonian ferry from Penzance (about 2 hours 45), by Skybus from Land's End, Exeter or Newquay (20 to 60 minutes) or by helicopter from Penzance (about 17 minutes). The ferry runs from spring to early November; Skybus and the helicopter fly all year, Monday to Saturday.
How do I get between the islands?
By the open boats from St Mary's quay, run by the St Mary's Boatmen's Association, and by Tresco Boats from Tresco and Bryher. The times are set each day around the tide and posted the evening before; our boat timetable shows them as soon as they are up.
Where can I see today's sailings and flights?
On Scilly Live, which shows every service for today and the days ahead, with weather, fog and service notices.
